Hi Daniele, For the first item, make sure you've mapped the solid's variables to the applicable Parametric Name properties for that catalog item. This is the same processed required when using custom PAZ files. In the above example, "ParaCellTest" is simply a slab with two variables assigned and then mapped to the equivalent Curtain Wall properties (even though a slab is nothing like a curtain wall).

Yes Steve, I know that, now I'm trying to understand how connect the parametric cell to the Dataset Families and Parts. Actually AECosim does not recognize correctly those parameters and it's impossible to create quantities and related prices. For the rest I'm already satisfied of the new features that AECosim updt3 introduced. Paramteric Cells into the Datagroup it's a realized dream and bye bye PC Studio. Preview materials are now visible, streched by the area but this is the space available, maybe a square preview could be more useful and intuitive. Unfortunately the historical behavior of AECOsim (from SS6) found when work units change during the modelling - using floors and grid - was not solved, must wait updt4 Kind Regards D

Hi all, I am using AECOSim CONNECT Update 3 to export mesh data from DGN (OpenRoads Designer data) to IFC. I can get exports out in the format I need except that all data is a single grey "Generic" colour. The elements have colours and materials attached. Is there any way to get any of these exported to IFC? Regards, Mark

After exporting it and then opening the IFC file in Revit, there is no intelligence on the items in the file. Steps to Resolve: When the dwg file is opened in AECOsim Building Designer, you must first apply DataGroup Data to the elements before you export it to IFC. This will give them intelligence and properties which will be carried into other programs.

Hi Stefan, The key-in is 'tfalign view acs'. One option is to add it to the quick access toolbar: Choose components from: Toolboxes (Application). The ribbon search does just search commands currently in the ribbon.

Hi Edward, The exception log indicates an 'Access Violation', and accordingly the minidump is pointing to " access violation exception (0xC0000005) when trying to read from... the assembly instruction at ustation!reference_loadColors+ca in ustation.dll ". The specific instruction (code) seems to relate to "loading colors from a reference file" via Ustation.dll, which is the underlying platform (MicroStation) on which ABD is built. When you say the user was trying to "unlink" the reference do you mean detaching it? If so, are the settings for that particular reference any different from other reference attachments? How about the location of the referenced DGN file itself?

Hi Duncan, As mentioned in your SR this specific error message does not necessarily have a single root cause. From my experience the elements involved usually do have some type of association generated; e.g., coped Stuctural members, hatch + boundary shape, etc.. So it's possible that the annotation linked to the Space (associated shape) in your video is in a similar state. However, because each scenario can potentially be entirely different than the last it can be difficult to troubleshoot. Not to mention, it's not a very common error. If you pare down the data a bit and/or compress the master file + references, does the error still occur?
