If you still experience crashes, look in Add or Remove Programs and see if you have an entry for the NVIDIA nView utility. If so, uninstall the nView utility and see if you still see crashes.

Forum Post: RE: Why can't attach Datagroup Instances to .cel parametric?
Yes . I imagine that it will be complicated until ABD's TF Forms gets re-written as variants of Parametric Solids. This may happen soon... as apparently something called 'Peforators and Connectors' are in the pipeline. Then it should be possible to extract the relevant 'plan' and 'elevation' area quantities by looking at how the Solid is generated . Family+Part assignment could be superseded by using DGS or Item Types. The simple formulae or 'methods' in Triforma's Components could be provided by using Named Expressions

MaryB, could to confirm that the way I want to manage my drawings is supposed to work? Is it something that's gone wrong, or should I start looking for other solutions? Robert

Wiki Page: CONNECT Edition - Create a new WorkSpace
Product(s): AECOsim Building Designer Version(s): 10.00.00.154 Environment: N/A Area: Configuration Subarea: WorkSpaces Overview The WorkSpace is the container within a Custom Configuration where groups of WorkSets will reside. An Organization may have a number of WorkSpaces or only one. Method The method to create the first WorkSpace in a Custom Configuration is described in CONNECT Edition - Custom Configuration - Part 1 : Initial Creation Steps for MicroStation CONNECT Edition. The process is identical for AECOsim Building Designer except for the folders that are created. The pre-set list in the Standards Subfolders defined by _USTN_WORKSPACESTANDARDSUBDIRS is longer: producing these empty folders that are then available for storage of WorkSpace level custom dataset content: Next Step: CONNECT Edition - Create a new WorkSet template

Wiki Page: CONNECT Edition - Create Organization folders
Product(s): AECOsim Building Designer Version(s): 10.00.00.154 Environment: N/A Area: Configuration Subarea: Organization Overview The Organization folder and contents in a Custom Configuration must be created manually. This folder contains locations for storage of shared resources and custom dataset content that apply to the whole Organization. Method The method to create the Organization folder and content in a Custom Configuration is described in CONNECT Edition - Custom Configuration - Part 1 : Initial Creation Steps for MicroStation CONNECT Edition. The process is identical for AECOsim Building Designer. Organization Dataset Folders In addition to the Standards folders in the Custom Configuration's Organization folder (e.g. \\server\CONFIGURATIONS\ABD-CE\Organization) AECOsim Building Designer also needs folders to locate Organization level custom dataset content. There are two options for these folders. They can be mixed in with the other folders within ...\Organization; or contained in a separate folder alongside this, e.g.: \\server\CONFIGURATIONS\ABD-CE\Organization_Dataset: The second approach is recommended as it has the advantage of isolating dataset specific resources from the other resources that may be used by other applications if, for instance, AECOsim Building Designer and MicroStation are directed to the same Custom Configuration. Next Step: CONNECT Edition - Create a new WorkSpace

Forum Post: RE: Drawing referenced into a Sheet is masking another Drawing
Sorry for the late reply, did you get to solve this? Is there a reason the 2 drawings on the sheet should be on top of eachother? If not, why not clip them on the Sheet so they can't cover eachother anymore?

Forum Post: Align View to ACS - not available in ribbon/search field?
It seems Align View to ACS, as we have in the View Orientation toolbox, isn't available in the ribbon? Also, a search in the search box in the top right corner doesn't seem to show it, as if it doesn't exist anymore. I noticed this with a few other tool buttons too. I think (especially when they're not available in the ribbon) they should at least show in the search results?

Can anyone tell me which file ("AECOsim Buidling Designer") this is? (see screenshot). I should be able to get into this file, since all toolbars below that one seem to be defined inside it, and I can change the icons in that one. I can tell by the icon name (compared to the other items in the toolbar) it's linked to the wrong icon:

Forum Post: Custom Linestyle Scale
I have some drawings created from Building views. the drawings contain centrelines made from custom linestyles. The linestyle scale displays correctly in Aecosim, however after cacheing the view, if i open in Microstation the linestyles scale up by a factor of 10?? See images below Both MS and Aecosim are configured using the same workspace/settings and therfore linestyle files also. so very strange. 1. Aecosim and larger scale Aecosim 2. Microstation
