Not the question asked. The problem we have found is that after editing in Excel, the door dimension reported in the DG Explorer is now a 'dumb' value. When the door width is modified, the new width is NOT reported in the DG Explorer.

DMA- Open Help and on the Search tab, look for "Accudraw key" (without quotes). It will take you to a complete list of Accudraw key-ins. Larry

The stair placement tool is not working correctly for monolithic stair flights. See image below. There is no thickness to the monolithic slab

Hi Duncan, I'm not sure if the stairs you are showing were modified at some point but as far as I can tell the Monolithic Stair Tool works properly in AECOsim Connect Edition version10.00.00.154.

PS: this seems to happen when values other than the width etc values liked to parametric objects are edited in Excel and saved back to ABD.

Gerard, I have a customised networked dataset which has been ported from SS6. The stair does not work properly in CE but does in SS6 The image I posted was from a fresh installation of ABD CE and the image is of a new stair just placed straight out of the box. This was using a unmodified local Dataset_UK. I have tried with Dataset_US with the the same result. Works fine with SS6 using the same dataset therefor the error must be in the program installation rather than the workspace settings. Multiple users have the same result out of the box and networked.

Any update for this? According to my exploration, as long as AECOsim can save its Element ID in the IfcElement.Tag property, Solibri Model Checker will be able to pick it up from there to the BATID field as hown in the screenshot of the original post. It will be faster to find elements by Element ID compared to traversing the entire model and looking for GUID. Thanks.

Forum Post: Level Overrides / Display of nested reference files.

Hello, I referenced a model into my drawing with nesting switched on. I can expand the nested reference 'tree' structure in reference dialog, level display and level manager dialogs, but I cannot change the display of nested refs, ie. whether they are displayed or not, what levels are displayed, and I cannot set overrides. All these are greyed out. To do any of these things I need to open the 'parent' model and change things there then save settings before going back into my drawing. Is there a setting that will allow me to control the nested references (display, level display, level overrides) 'all the way down the line' ? Thanks

Hi Duncan, Go to Modify Stair, in the Stringers section, change the value of Carriage Offset. I found the pre-set value was displayed as 150 but this was not what the preview looked like, changing this to any positive value thickened the slab. This value is actually the minimum slab thickness. We will investigate further, this is looks like a defect in the delivered stair settings.
