It seems to be lost after export. Solution No, it seems that IFC4 class definition is not fully matured yet. Such as definition is now for triangulated faces only while more effective geometry are polygonal and constructive (CSG). So currently it is not possible to export graphics information from .3mx to .ifc is not possible in ABD.

Hi DMA, There are only two end types available in AECOsim. But there is a way to make your own custom components . You can create your own coupling and then place it in conjunction with other pipes and/or components with their individual end types as "-;-;". Please let me know if it helps. Satadal.

first of all thank you very much Satadal for your reply and for videos the shape of the output from video is very simple how can i define the complicated dimension for victaulic shape for example. if you have ready samples for complicated shape can you provide? regards

sure it is help But i need how can i define this complicated coupling shape in the cell model and connection point file. for example i have the cell shapes and i want use it automatically in the software!

If you can share the 3D model of this coupling, then I can show you how you can use this as a cell and define the connection points for this one. As an alternative, you can also share the appropriate 2D views with dimensions for me to create the 3D and then use it as cell with all the connection points. But there are also 2d Design models and they are used with OpenRoads technology where your 2d design elements are automatically converted into 3d in an auto-created 3d model in the same file. So a related question may be; What are the functionality difference between a 2d Design Model and a 2d Drawing model other than model properties being design vs. drawing and a black/design or grey/drawing background?

Hey you DG-in-Excel fans, what happens when you export a value that is linked to or provided by something in Aecosim? For example: Doors and Spaces have dimensions / area values that are generated by the Aecosim tool. What happens when the user exports these values out into Excel and re-imports them? We seem to have lost the linkage between the door and spaces tools with their reported values or parameters. I am wondering if the Export to Excel tool has something to do with this.

Hi Nils, The member needs to be Analytical first in order to add the node. Later you can add Nodal Load:

This door dimension was edited in Excel and updated back into DataGroup Explorer using the Excel Exchange option. You can Edit in Excel and Update from Excel and the values should be linked back into the model. Is this the tool you used to edit the DataGroup property in SS6?
