Hello Do, You can model the same with the help of MicroStation solid modeling. Then after that you can apply parts & family to the model. Regards, Alifur

Forum Post: RE: DIN Links/Rechts

Forum Post: RE: Family and Parts not visible in Parametric Cell Studio OBD Connect edition
Hi Mariusz, It turns out that this was filed as defect 768762, but with Parametric/Constraint-based Cells becoming the sole parametric content creation tool, development is not making any further fixes or changes to PC Studio. The same would apply to the old Frame Builder tool as well. That said, keying in the Family and Part names should still work, though it is a bit more work.

Forum Post: LEGION: Entities seem to lose their Target after leaving an MTZ
Hi all, In one of my simulations where I am using an MTZ to emulate an elevator between two floors, I am getting the following warning during simulation. Warning: Mesoscopic Transit Zone 'mtz concourse to platform' cannot route entity: ID=2141, type='elevator_users', position=(19.100000, 43.047998) Warning: 08:48:12 (frame: 4821): Simulation has removed entity 2141 with type 'elevator_users' and target '[No Target]' at position (19.100000, 43.047998). It seems that some entities once entering the MTZ on one floor lose their target thus do not exit out on to the other floor. This does not appear to be happening with all entities that use the MTZ elevator. The entities enter the building, a direction modifier directs them to a delay point in front of the elevator where they wait. Then, the delay point is linked to the MTZ which transport them to the next floor. The MTZ activity is set to "delayed". My MTZ are all set to "revert to final destination". If anyone has some advice or has run into a similar problem, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks

Forum Post: RE: Family and Parts not visible in Parametric Cell Studio OBD Connect edition
Hi Steve, Thank you for your answer. At the moment I am using Aecosim SS6 to assign Part and Family so it works fine only I needed to change dataset and dgnlib file with levels on delivered with Connect Edition. Unfortunately I need to keep SS6 still installed on my PC. What I understood form your answer is PC Studio no longer will be develop and became legacy tool. My understanding is Bentley is going to develop Parametric cells as an tool for generating Doors, Windows and other components what would be good idea. Do I make correct assumption? I have already tried to do some parametric cells for doors, widows but I came across on limitation and actually come beck to PCStudio. However I don't master this tool so my experience is rather limited hence some issues might be not relevant. 1. Perforator capability I think needs to be improved stop working when you copy cell - It is not efficient way to attach every time cell to make perforation in element, very annoying. 2. Named presentation. I think should be added options to switch on and off in the Building tab for Forward, Cut and Back view as it is with Drawing symbol to allow better control and more flexibility on drawings production. Please see screenshot below. 3. Array tool as it is in PCStudio Is it possible to have an array functionality in Parametric cells as it is PC Studio so dynamically add elements when changing size of a cell? 4. Is it possible to have dimension allowing dynamically to change parametric cell sizes as it is in PCStudio. 5. Components for creating many variant as it is in PCStudio. I think it would be good to develop the tool very quickly ( if the problems listed above are relevant) as at the moment we don't have proper tool to caver the subject and still needs to use previous version of Aecosim. . If you would be able to answer my question and give me a view on the subject and future development it would be great and very useful. Many Thanks with Regards, Mariusz

Forum Post: RE: Open Building Designer doen't exit
H Marc, Two separate issues here. We don't support Open Office, our testing and integration is with Microsoft Office (e.g. the Edit in Excel feature in the Schedules dialog). Repairing Open Office may well resolve the problem. The warning errors indicate that somewhere in your dataset< WorkSpace or WorkSets there are duplicate XML entries for some sections. The Message Center will give more information. This is probably a duplicated XML file that you should be able to identify and remove.

Forum Post: How to report defect in Open Buildings Designer / Aecosim Connect Edition
Hi there, I don't know how to report defect so please help with that. I have noticed defect in Open Buildings Designer/ Aecosim Connect Edition. When I am editing attached projection and want to relocate origin point it work really uncontrolled and strange way When I am using arrow to relocate it is working fine. It is important when I am attaching geometry map I need to precisely pick origin point please see record below. I have also test it in Aecosim SS6 and it works correct. Wir haben uns mit If Not InStr(stEleName, "Pene") > 0 Then beholfen. Geht sicher besser.
