The problem is that the final product is a set of items on a piece of paper. No hyperlinking, nowhere else but paper. I will have drawings and a book. How do I convey my ideas on paper. Plan Elevations Sections Details Schedules Specifications How do I make them complete I have never had a long description as I always tried to let the plans take you to the Sections which send you to the details and specifications. And the Schedules send you to the plans, elevations, sections, details and specs. I've always tried to let the details and drawings tell the story. That being said I do remember old drawing that would show a detail or sheet with a plan and all specs were on that page for the description of how something would be done. I also remember a a set of drawings that had a room number that included all spec lines in a symbol and led you to a Spec sheet that had just that room plan all written info for that room. That spec was 5 times as thick with a lot of repetition. I am intrigued as I could see a place for this but I at the same time, see a way that what we produce could be better with better notes to point us to the drawings and specs we have. I would like to know more to see where this would fit into or change my work flow.
