Steve Cocchi If your three parts use different Section/F&R symbology, along with different hatch patterns, you could draw a line over each joint using your current background color as shown in the attached image.  It is extra linework, but also a fairly simple and quick way to accomplish your desired result.   If you are forced to manually 'touch up' or embellish the output, then something like CVE's Hide and Replace would be good, especially if the operations were 'persistent' across updates. Revit has a similar tool for correcting joint lines.
