Never really got into Visual Basic, to be honest. And I never really understood why Microsoft didn't port VB.NET to applications either. That would have been a real step forward. Regarding Linux - as an network administrator, I'm in charge of a couple of PC's at my office. But I'm also in charge of some PC's at home. From my experience - in the last couple of years it has become much easier to get the Ubuntu Linux PC's up and running. We are having a bunch of problems at the office, especially with Windows 8.1. And sadly - with Aecosim also, lately. This specific VBA problem does show it quite clearly. Dependencies in Linux are very easily managed by the system. If you need a package, install it. If it is broken, reinstall it. There's nothing like that in Windows. My VBA installation might be broken, I hear. But how do I fix it?
