Forum Post: RE: Determining the color of rendered spaces by using the family and part of the space

The set up comprises a group of small models all referenced into a composite model. where the DV's have been created and transferred to drawings and the drawings including annotations will end up in plot sheets.  As the current set of information is being prepared for planning, My main objective is to illustrate the various categories of spaces using color fills, so that these appear in the plot sheets without obliterating the solid objects and annotations.  I have already mentioned the 2 or 3 methods I have explored and the difficulties I have encountered.  I was hoping for some further suggestions.   The option I would have like to explore more fully is mentioned in the attachment however the information is very scant and I cant seem to get the operation to work.
