Andreas Zieritz why doesn't anything show up in the default model You are supposed to use the Mini toolbar 'Display Annotations' to 'back-Ref' the Drawing model in. But the cut/DV-processed elements in the Drawing model is omitted. Anything drawn in the Drawing model would come through. There was a some debate about this during the latter portion of the SS3 beta. See DV Looking Forward forum.  I think the Dev team thought that this would be a duplication of proxy geometry the DV was generating in the active model. Fair enough, given the time pressures, but I don't think this was thought through. The user is still able to copy the back-Ref'd Drawing model. When this happens, he should be able to get all the cut/DV-processed element. I hope that Bentley will consider implementing this. The user has the option to convert the Drawing model into a CVE. This should mean that when the user back-Refs the Drawing model, he would get the CVE without having to wait for DV to re-cut and regen the Drawing model. I think Mstn blocks this as it assumes that this would duplicate the proxy geometry generated in the active model. Andreas Zieritz why is the drawing which is referenced into a 3D model in 3D, and not in 2D? Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that there are 3d elements in the back-Ref'd Drawing model? This would be good news in a way. It would be great if we could back-Ref 3d as well as 2d elements.
